Part Time (32 hours/week)
Day Shift (8:00am - 5:30pm/variable)
The hourly salary range for this position starts at $22.96/hour and increases with years of relevant work experience.

This position coordinates and promotes the efficient, effective technical operations of departmental and/or enterprise projects. Works with leadership to ensure project objectives are achieved through effective definition, planning, implementation and transition of work. Participates in project teams when assembled, coordinates project plans and performs project tasks as assigned.

1. Assists with the development and provides hands-on management of project plans, including objectives, timelines and dependencies, work plans, milestones, resource requirements and tracking mechanisms.

2. Performs project tasks as assigned.

3. Facilitates communication between project leadership, team members and customers. Communicates project progress and findings to project leadership, including the sponsor, as appropriate.

4. Maintains central documentation (hard copy and electronic) of assigned projects.

5. Collaborates with other VMMC project management personnel to improve on planning and implementation practices, tools and supportive strategies (e.g., training programs) to support the organization's development of its performance improvement capabilities.

This position requires two years' project coordination experience. Demonstrated excellent facilitation, communication and organizational skills also required. The incumbent must be a self-starter with attention to detail, flexibility and the ability to adhere to project specifications and timelines. The position requires working knowledge of MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint. Experience with MS Project is preferred; willingness to learn MS Project or another Virginia Mason-designated project software is required.

An Associate's or Bachelor's degree is preferred. Formal training in project management concepts and methods.
