As a Director, Ambulatory Services within our leadership, you will help to continually develop the results-driven initiatives that define our success and are transforming healthcare. This position supports urology and renal transplantation-one of Virginia Mason’s select Centers of Excellence. The urology service is a very busy and dynamic medical group-a large, diverse and highly sub specialized team that commands number one inpatient market share in the State of Washington. This position directs the business, technical and nursing support activities of the medical group. In conjunction with the Surgery Department Administration and the Urology Physician Leader, the position oversees administrative functions of the medical group including operations, marketing, facilities, finance, human resources, and planning and development.
The urology medical group at Virginia Mason is a highly productive ambulatory group practice that also participates heavily in the care of hospital patients, clinical research and graduate medical education. The group is active in urologic education at both the national and international levels and is thoroughly dedicated to increasing regional community awareness of urologic health issues.
This position directs the business, technical and nursing support activities of a large, multi-specialty medical clinic. In conjunction with the Vice President and the Physician Leader, oversees administrative functions of the clinic including operations, marketing, facilities, finance, human resources, and planning and development. Includes VMMC clinics with multi-speciality areas and more than 26 physicians/providers.
We require a four year college degree in business administration, nursing or a similar field; 7 years progressively responsible clinic management experience; proven proficiency in financial management, which includes compressive understanding of insurance plans as they relate to physician practice; the ability to communicate clearly, effectively and concisely to a variety of audiences; and strong Human Resources skills. Advanced degree preferred.
