Virginia Mason Medical Center’s Information Systems department has an exciting opportunity within the Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) Team. The ERP Team supports Finance, Supply Chain, Human Resources and Payroll operations and associated applications.
Specifically, the Oracle ERP Functional Systems Analyst will be responsible for the following accountabilities:
1.Participates as a core team member of the ERP Systems Team. Collaborate with the business and technical resource colleagues in performing functional and workflow analysis in support of process design or re-engineering.
2.Develop, maintain, and enhance Oracle E-Business Suite applications and related third-party solutions. Create design documents and impact analysis for application modifications.
3.Project Management in support of developing and implementing new applications or enhancing current applications. Perform project management tasks including; business requirements gathering, establishing project tasks/timelines/deliverables, documenting specifications and test plans, facilitating and coordinating workgroups, issue management and escalation and management of resources.
4.Ensure the reliable operation of the production environment(s) and application(s). Provide off hours production support to customers as needed by investigating and resolving production or functional issues. Perform root cause analysis to troubleshoot issues, and work with the appropriate individuals/teams to resolve issues in a timely manner. Ensure timely and effective communications to affected parties (e.g., vendors, customers). Interact with applicable vendor(s) as required. Actively participate in determining the timelines for testing and implementation to minimize disruptions to business unit processes.
5.Serves as subject matter expert regarding practices and structures in the business unit (e.g., Supply Chain, Finance, HR), and their relationships to existing and new business systems and practices. Helps identify process improvements through changes in practice, standardization or IT automation. Provide training on new applications to business areas and create training materials as needed. Develops reports as needed to compile and analyze data regarding business unit practices.
Successful candidates must be able to work in a collaborative and teamwork driven environment. Must be able to effectively work with different IT and customer groups and executives. Must be a self-starter, flexible and able to multi-task in a dynamically changing environment. Must have strong customer service, coordination, and interpersonal skills and excellent oral and written communication skills.
This position requires a minimum of two years experience working with computers; must demonstrate a working knowledge of database design, must have extensive knowledge of application configuration and design, in-depth understanding of the client's business, possess strong management skills, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, strong analytical ability, the ability to be flexible and to manage multiple tasks. A Bachelors Degree or its equivalent is required for this position.
Preferred Qualifications:
•Experience working in the healthcare industry;
•A minimum of 5 years experience working with the Oracle E-Business Suite 11i or higher, with expertise in Supply Chain and Finance;
•Experience as a team member in a major upgrade of the Oracle E-Business Suite.
•Strong Project Management skills and demonstrated experience with MS Project and/or MS Project Server;
•Demonstrate quality and integrity of developing and maintaining system documentation;
•General knowledge and understanding of network operations, and system integration.
