As the Employee Health Program Coordinator your duties would include but not limited to:
  • Manages, screens and completes phone triage for sick calls, and other departmental requests.
  • This role will assist with orientation/assignment of work for volunteers and light duty employees. Provides detail work description for coverage, special assignments, and give access to the appropriate applications that are needed to perform the assigned tasks and duties. Will also perform screening and data entry for vaccination records and/ or lab results into the database (OHM). Schedules appointments as appropriate (i.e. new hires/respiratory fit testing).
  • Responsible for performing inventory control duties and ordering medical, office, and special supplies and forms. Coordinates with other departments such as ITT for specimen pickup, IS, Rehab and Infect. Prevention. May transcribe and relay messages for lab results from the lab to the EH RN’s. Generates reports for billing information for contingent workers on a monthly basis.
  • May project manage specific tasks to support organizational events such as Flu Vaccination kickoff event.
  • Assist in creating and improving reports, works collaborative within team setting to develop and maintain standard work and other department documents as needed. Responsible for management of all Employee Health record keeping functions; to include Iron Mountain- archiving, retrieval, processing terminations, and merging of charts, copying and filing.
  • Serves as the key technical contact/resource in the day-to-day management of the department’s information system(s)/application(s). Ensures the integrity of the application(s) and related data; may work with other department staff as necessary to resolve data issues. Troubleshoots and resolves system malfunctions/errors as able, escalates issues to Information Systems (IS) and/or the application vendor as necessary. Provides users with technical support and communicates issues and resolutions in a timely manner. Maintains, monitors and, as needed, modifies application interfaces to ensure acquisition of necessary data; may work with IS staff in developing new interfaces. Work with vendors and/or IS staff in the implementation of application upgrades.
  • May serve as the primary administrator of the department’s website. Supports Employee Health website upgrades/migrations, and ensures content integrity and adherence to established VM standards. Serves as the central contact for management of departmental website content and may author website content.

Qualifications

Minimum:
  • Associate’s degree or equivalent required.
  • 3 years of experience working in an Employee Health department and/or a medical clinic
  • 3 years of experience working with database management
  • Office/Clerical experience in a healthcare setting.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Demonstrated analytical, problem-solving and organization skills and strong attention to detail.
Preferred:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business or related field.
  • 5 years of healthcare industry, occupational health/employee health clinic and direct work experience with databases and as a system administrator.
