Description
As a key member of our leadership team, you will help to continually develop the results-driven initiatives that define our success and are transforming healthcare.
This position directs the business, technical and nursing support activities of a large, multi-specialty medical clinic. In conjunction with the Administrative Director and the Physician Leader, the Director oversees administrative functions of the clinic including operations, marketing, facilities, finance, human resources, and planning and development.
Principal accountabilities for this position include, but are not limited to:

Developing and implementing clinic-specific customer service, human resource, and financial goals & objectives consistent with VM's strategic plan and goals.

Performing all aspects of human resource management, including recognition and reward of staff, analyzing staff mix and deploying staff, ensuring competency of staff through development and regular evaluation, and providing disciplinary counseling.

Ensuring customer satisfaction by analyzing customer complaints, concerns and suggestions and providing appropriate follow-through.

Forecasting staffing, capital and operating budget needs in evaluating and reporting on the clinic's market position, financial situation, space utilization, etc. Monitoring performance of plan and making adjustments as needed.

Planning and organizing staff and facilities to meet customer needs. Ensuring routine maintenance is performed, problems corrected and systems in place to ensure a safe and comfortable environment for patient care and service delivery.

Marketing and promoting new and existing programs and services to patients and community.

Participating in organization-wide committees to establish or improve customer service and administrative plans and policies. Representing the clinic and Virginia Mason to local community and business groups.

Developing and implementing clinic-specific policies and procedures and implementing and monitoring system standard work.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in business, health administration, nursing or a related field
- 7 or more years progressively responsible clinic management experience
- Proven proficiency in financial management, which includes compressive understanding of insurance plans as they relate to physician practice
- Proven ability to communicate clearly, effectively and concisely to a variety of audiences
- Demonstrated communication and interpersonal relationship skills with a focus on team building
- Proven ability in developing and promoting working relationships with a highly skilled group of medical staff
- Demonstrated expertise as a Change Master

Strong planning and analytical skills required in the innovation of new approaches/initiatives, identification of areas requiring improvement, and monitoring of outcomes

Master's degree in business, health administration, nursing or a related field
